Was he hurt, yes. But he was not hurt to the point he couldn't continue. The ref jumped in to damn quick. At least let the guy go down. Its the 12 ****ing rnd in a very good fight.

Called it though, I saw Acosta open to that left hook a lot in the first 6, not as much in the last 6.

That ref should never officiate again. Pathetic performance.

That was a dramatic turnaround but I still disagree with the stoppage, he wasn't out of it

That stoppage ruined a great fight. We were deprive of a Soto come back KO or an Acosta 12 rnd survival to a unanimous decision.

Watching the fight with two buddies
    One a non-boxing fan
Both thought the stoppage was total BS.

I'm all for erring on the side of caution, but I still would have waited at least a couple more seconds to see if Acosta could have managed to defend himself intelligently...especially after he had come back from a hard KD earlier in the fight.

Terrific fight, though. Would love to watch these two run it back.

Soto is one of my new favorite fighters, though he does fade a lot in the last 6. Hope he can tweak that.

First time seeing either of these guys

    Acosta's a machine

    Soto has an iron chin

    That was a great fight

    Absolutely terrible stoppage

Soto would lose a rematch 100% he got schooled for 8 rounds straight and may have not even won if not for that trigger happy ****** ref.
