Andrew Anthony Cancio vs. René Antonio Alvarado Sánchez II & Can Xu vs. Manny Robles III RBR.

Was disappointed to see cancio get washed like that but he showed heart and kept trying

Been watching Alvarado for years and there was a point where he began slipping so glad to see him reach this height in his career

 

Alvarado really took the play away he just came out in round 1 firing he shook cancio up immediately

 

I went to take a peak at the fight whenever Wilder/Ortiz rounds ended, and I saw Alvarado just beating the dog **** outta him, came to the RBR and the prof had Alvarado up and I was like damn has this been happening all fight?!

 

I'm probably the biggest fan of both Gemelo's outside Nicaragua. I'm stoked! Can't wait to watch this one.

 

Hot take: both Alvarado bros, while combined not half as famous as him, each are much greater pound for pound fighters than Mike Alvarado ever was.

I was surprised Xu won by shutout. I thought Robles was landing some clean shots in the first half of the fight. Right man won so no big deal.

And yeah, Alvarado beat the hell out of cancio. Does cancio always fight off balance or was he rocked in the first round? Never seen him fight before and he couldn’t get anything going, was always out of position.

 

Neither was Machado, to be fair.
It´s ****ing weird to say but each successive WBA champ since Uchiyama has lost to the lesser man.
Well, maybe not Cancio, since he got his ass beat pretty badly here. But he is 1-1 with Alvarado at the moment.
