He hasnt even dont that, and hes only had 2 fights against guys who now have a 0-7 record http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=596658&cat=boxer
I think Flintoff will win this. He was a world class cricketer, not a white collar office worker. I dont think he will be in as bad a shape as some of you make out and his right hand will be useful. Not sure why there is so much hate from british sport fans in general. If you dont like it dont watch it.
Hes fighting James Toney? Pretty sure RJJ was beating ex world champs in his before his 20th fight aswell
He does seem to have quite a heavy shot that might win him a few can fights, but if he steps up to anything around D class it might be a sore one.
I have £20 on Dawson to stop Flintoff at 6-4. Dawson may not be much but he does have ring experience( one am fight no sure about the result, one unlicenced fight that he won, and two pro fights which he won), plus his Dad was a journeyman heavyweight so it's likely he's grown up around boxing. Flintoff has no ring experience whatsoever and this will be a huge disadvantage. Flintoff has a bit of power in his right hand but his left is crap and I suspect Flintoff will become totally disorganised when Dawson attacks.
A complete novice to boxing and former cricketer Freddie Flintoff has just dominated americas best HW prospect in years, unbeaten Richard Dawson. Pretty embarrassing night for US boxing.
He won...but I don't understand how he could get dropped yet only lose one point? He gave it his all, but this should be strictly a part-time thing for him.
