This mythical Golota from 96 could square off with anybody, eh? Or could it be Bowe was an overrated bum?
You would find one unconscious bodybuilder lying on the floor starched out cold. Shades of what David Price did to Joshua in sparring. Lol
Chris Byrd says golota has the heavyweight body that he would wish for: big strong and muscular. Byrd also says he's a knucklehead, just does stupid stuff. This would be the fight between the biggest physical specimens, kind of like holy and Tyson except for at superheavyweight. Sly Stallone calls Joshua an Adonis. He has the body of a bodybuilder. Who would win? They're not exactly the toughest mentally. Would golota graze low or would he fight well in a competitive prize fight match. Would aj be able to show some of his specialness like he's shown in the past knocking people out? Idk but it's a mythological shiwdown I would love to see.
Joshua would win, Golota always found a way to lose the fight and the reason was probably his weak psyche...
Joshua can hurt Golota. Golota falls apart against boxers who can hurt him, he completely unravels. Joshua by tko
Joshua would win, because Golota would either quit or low blow him. The second scenario worked for Andre Ward though. According to Adamek, Golota was always scared of fighting black guys.
Impossible to predict. Golota was too much of a loose cannon. Have to favor Joshua for that reason alone. Obviously has the skills and tools necessary to spring the upset though. Just needs to have a clear head on the night.
Golota has be the absolute opposite of the big occasion Fighter. If a still raw AJ could ice Dillian Whyte the way he did then he gets Golota out of there inside 4.
I agree with your thinking, so much of the pro Golota thinking is based off his 2 fights with Bowe, I do it myself. Pretty hard not too though, Bowe was in the top 2 or 3 heavys at the time. However the form of Bowe and Golota post those fights does suggest, they were not as good as initially thought. I still think at their best, both were potentially great heavyweights. As others have said, Golota was a total 'bonehead'.
