Appreciate the shout-out, but assuming we’re talking about the best (or a very good) version of Holyfield, even I cannot make caviar out of fish eggs. (Especially when the big fish is less mentally tough than a guppy and resorts to ball punching no matter how far ahead when things get rough.)

Golota has the skills to outbox Evander over 12, but not the discipline and the toughness to pull it off imo.

All that said, I do see one road to victory for Golota: Let’s say he gets away with a few on-purpose low blows — maybe Evander retaliates and the ref DQ’s him rather than the guy who started it down that road.

That’s about the best I can do.

What sort of game-plan would you try to have AG carry out for the bout?

Yep….if I would try make an argument for Golota, I would say that he uses his skills on the outside to win the majority of the rounds and Holyfield isn’t able to land that shot to make Golota pull a Golota. Bowe did land a big right hand off the ropes that probably hurt Golota, about a minute before Golota threw the final nutcrackers that got him DQ’d in the rematch.
