I think Dokes would have little trouble w/ Golota. Golota would get frustrated in 7-9 rounds, foul him multiple times, and then be promptly disqualified. Golota was not esp. powerful for a big man, so Dokes w/ his mediocre chin could take whatever Golota has imo. Besides, Dokes would not be standing toe-to-toe w/ him like Bowe did anyways and is not at large risk of being knocked out, and Dokes was only decisioned once in his career, in his 2nd to last fight.

Andrzej would do just fine, as he would against many fighters from the 80s. The Warsaw-born Golota takes a decision here.

Hmm...Golota hit really hard. Not quite as hard as Weaver, but probably with better hand speed.

The Bowe Golota catches up to Dokes in 8.

I personally think that any fighter as good of Dokes, even if he is losing to Golota, will frustrate him enough into fouling and thus win the fight that way. Look at the people Golota beat. No one better than B and C level fighters. Guys like Norris, Ferguson, Sanders, and washed-up Spoon. That was the best he could do. Norris was a cruiserweight. Spoon was in his 40s and out of shape, Ferguson had two big hits, one in '93 and one in '84. Sanders lost to Golota and Grant, and other than that had few big fights-period. Just not looking 2 good 4 Golota.

Golota should've been DQ'd more than a few times, but was allowed to get away w/ it.

Prime vs Prime, Dokes by UD. Don't think he is stopping Andrew but a late round stoppage is somewhat possible.

I don’t think Dokes has the type of style or power to force Andrew to have one of his freak outs and quit. That and Golata had a very good strait left jab with plenty of sting behind it. And If we’re talking about the same early 80s Dokes who had issues with drugs and fought life and death with Cobb and Ocasio then all the more reason to favor Golata.

I think Golota at his best would be too big and powerful for Dokes, and that Dokes would not have the power to trouble Golota. Dokes might do well in the beginning when he's fresh but I think as the fight goes on Golota breaks him down and stops him. The wildcard of course is whether Golota does anything crazy like bite Dokes in the nuts or set him on fire ... but I think not. Golota tended to be dirty when he was frustrated, hurt or struggling, and I don't think he'd be any of those vs Dokes.
