All it is is how I see it. You see it a completely different way, and that's fine, that's what makes boxing so exciting. Quite frankly, the sport would be boring if we all held the same opinion. We have a difference in opinion in our theory, but neither you nor I can prove his theory to be correct because these sluggers would have had to enter the ring and do battle years ago which of course will never happen. All we have to base our predictions on is existing knowledge about the given fighter, how we think their styles would have meshed, etc., etc.
Golota also had Grant in trouble and couldn't finish, and years later, had Ruiz down twice (although the 2nd KD shouldn't have counted) and couldn't finish or even get him in trouble again. He kept looking for the right hand and it wouldn't come. Golota was just too much of a headcase for me to pick in a big fight. All he had to do was finish those fights (last the distance) with Bowe and Grant and he would have won. If not one thing, then it's the other. Poor finisher, always quits or chokes or whatever, and finds a way to not win. By the time he did show a lot of heart (Mollo), he physically was a shell of what he once was. I never liked the way Wlad reacted when hit, he seemed extremely uncomfortable for a pro fighter, nevermind an elite one, whenever he got tagged with something good. But I just can't see Golota NOT throwing it away even if he gets a big edge on Wlad. He just messed it up too many times.
I agree with most of your post, especially this part about wlad's reactions when hit. You are right about golota's finishing skills, but i still think that : Golota's finishing skills >>> Wlad's survival's skills when hurt
