He lost to a Scottish teenager

    Will he now turn pro?

Thread titles a little deceiving for those who didn't see it!

Just watched the fight, what the f*ck was going on with his gumshield? It's cost him big time.

A brilliant performance by McFadden plus whatever was going on with that gumshield has provided the shock of the games so far. You need a little luck in these competitions, I hope Reece can go all the way. Think he has Charlie Edwards in the next round, hardest draw possible but he can do it.

The young Scottish kid was excellent but you'd think selby would have a decent gumshield he must be kicking himself

Regardless of gum shield I never gave Selby a round, lost 1st comfortably, gave 2nd a draw, and lost 3rd. Looked poor defensively, McFadden looked brilliant (think he has a great style for the pros)

It's the first I have seen of Selby, you can tell he has skill but he was outfought by McFadden.

The Scottish lad deserved to win, I gave him the 1st and 3rd rounds.

KO1 as in knocked out in the 1st stage of the tournament.

Selby himself said that he lost the 1st, felt that he came back in the 2nd then in the 3rd when he had the gumshield disaster he was storming in as he knew he had to get the stoppage so was getting caught with silly shots.

He is right in what he said about the referee though. The first time the gumshield came out it was because of a punch.. so the referee got the point reduction wrong first time round as it has to have been spat out 3 times by the fighter.

thanks. i had it 19-19 going into the 3rd, and thought the ref was harsh when the gumshield was dislodged, selby pushed it back in then the ref made him go to the corner anyway before deducting.

full credit to the little scot, mind. good fight.

People who didn't give Selby the second need to learn how to score a fight, turn the commentary off for a start.
