Oh wow, this is fate. Sirotkin's ring name is apparently "The Bull". Kind of seems like his and Mayorga's ought to be switched around, especially considering that Sirotkin's record (and being a Russian) suggests he is a feather-fist and more of a circle & jab specialist.

 

There has been half an hour of dancing now, with frequent cuts to Nicaragua where the commentators are restlessly adjusting the wedgies in the crotches of their dress slacks and staring at the monitor. They were giving us backstage glimpses until about 20 minutes ago. Mayorga was face-down on a table naked getting a massage at one point.

I'm talkin' bout the Mayorga that fought Jaudiel Zepeda (yes, the Jaudiel Zepeda) this past April in a FOTY candidate, giving the hometown fans in Managua their Christmas present early when he knocked that ass spark out. (sort of...making Zepeda forfeit by turning and walking away following a Mayorga rabbit punch...in the most epic anticlimax ever seen in a prize ring...)
