Andrzej Fonfara deserves respect for knocking out that fraud.

Yeah he was for quite a while but he ate his way out of it. He's realistically a SMW at this point he's far too physically small to truly compete with LHW's and CW's.

  2. Then maybe Garcia can discipline that chump and he can graduate into a real champ and not be given belts by the WBC that he did not earn.

    Agreed he doesn't have a 168lb body

He weighs 180-200 fight night but he's not really of that weight class

The truth is he is never stable at any weight class, so where does he fit really? No hate here but him and Canelo have a tendency to make up there own weight classes lately.

  5. I guess that is what they mean by "Mexican Style".:rofl

I'm not really trying to defend him, almost reminds me of what happened to Arturo Gatti later in his career, couldnt make 140 but couldnt be effective at 147

Chavez isnt physically gifted and just overwhelmed guys with size and body punching, he was huge for the weight class from weight cutting but I wouldnt call him a true 175 or even 168 lb fighter because he just doesnt seem fit or strong at the weights.

Im not sure if my explanation makes sense

WTF Chavez isn't smaller and even if you want to argue that he sure as hell is a more natural LHW than MW. He finally fought a guy his own size and got the hell beat out of him. He "won" his title against Zbik weighing at least 15lbs more in the ring.

Lets not forget Fonfara was a real MW until 2009.

Andrezej Fonfara is a talented fighter but also think we have to consider the fact that he beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, a fighter who over the years has had a reputation for not training and performing up to expatiation.

I would love to see Fonfara in his next bout show and prove to those, like myself, who think it was a case of an unmotivated underachiever losing to a motivated fighter who came in and acted like a professional. In simple terms; Fonfara at his best was able to beat Chavez Jr at his worst, can Fonfara beat another top fighter at his bestÂ….we've yet to see that.

Great fight. Always good to see justice done.

I was a huge fan of JC Sr., but Jr. is just a lazy fraud.

    Good work by Fonfara.

    1. They were the same size.

    2. Making someone quit is more impressive.
