HBO wouldn't approve it. Kovalev needs to look equally as impressive as he did against Sillakh in his next fight.

That said, there is absolutely nothing on the Québec media about this Stevenson-Fonfara fight. And they're usually twitchy with rumors.

Actually Cloud sounds fine for Kovalev's next fight. Assuming Bute/Pascal winner cannot get done in a timely fashion. HBO might even consider putting Kovalev/Cloud on with Stevenson/Fonfara.

It looks like Hopkins will probably fight Shumenov next.

    I agree.

As far as I know, Cloud has never been knocked down in a fight, so Kovalev might be the first to do it.

Kovalev wants to fight Stevenson next, but Stevenson does not want to fight Kovalev and I don't blame him.............Stevenson wants to fight Ward, but Ward refuses to even answer him. Kovalev was Hopkins' mandatory, but Hopkins refused to fight Kovalev, so Kovalev had to go to Cleverly's home town, knock him out and win the WBO title. Hopkins said he would never fight Kovalev or Stevenson.........

Stevenson's team said they don't fancy a Kovalev fight before the end of next year.
They will want to face the Bute-Pascal winner too before the Krusher.
Many people say that the fight has to be built but who knows if by the end of 2014 both will have kept winning ?

Fonfara is OK. He is hard worker and throws lot of punches but his rinq iq and skills are definetly something to be not scared of. His defence looks very vulnerable. He wasn't smarter or better boxer against Johnson or Campillo but his constant pressure and hard work paid off. He was also having all kind of problems with Tommy Karpency who isn't techical master either..

His win over Campillo is cool on a paper but as a Campillo fan I don't rate it too high cause I felt from the first round that this Chico Guapo isn't same anymore. His defence and reflexes were gone and I had a constant feeling that he was in danger to get caught right from the start. Same thing Johnson: wasn't the same fighter who gave Froch a real tough battle.

    Stevenson KO2

actually no....it has been stated by adoni many times, that if the bute/pascal winner wants to face them , he has no problem, but they need to have a belt to do that...which niether of them do at this point...

there has been a lot of animosity and aparently jealousy comming from pascal towards stevenson...stevenson has said this without mentioning names but it was clear he was talking about pascal...

like i said before, he will never face pascal unless he is holding a belt...bute would be an easier fight to make.

pure garbage....all you do in your posts is repeat repeat repeat...do you just copy paste ur posts?

bhop wanted kovalev, he was not able to because of the cold war going on...the fight with bhop vs stevenson was supposed to take place instead of cloud, but because of the cold war it didnt get made..

i think maybe you should learn a little before posting..

ya same here, i felt campillo just wasnt the same...he just looks like his legs are not there no more....he reminds me of alcine but with more talent...

alcine vs campillo would be a good match at catch weight

I'd rather see Kovalev in against someone like the following:

    Winner of Oosthuizen-Alvaraz in January.

Winner of Marcus Oliveira-Braehmer this saturday.

Zsolt Erdei - Former linear champ.

Cedric Agnew - Unbeaten American prospect - Rated 15 on Boxrec.

Blake Caparello - Unbeaten Australian Prospect - Rated 9 on Boxrec.

As for Stevenson, he has far more options and money fights so doesn't need the Kovalev fight just now.

A fight between Stevenson and the winner of Pascal/Bute would be huge in Canada and would certainly be picked up by HBO too.

What happened to "The pipol wanna see um.. HOPins or FROTCH"?

When questioned about Kovalev the guy literally looked like he was in fear.
