Andrzej Fonfara vs. Adonis Stevenson

ye i think he can crack a bit.

 

Whose this Fonfara? I ain't never heard of this tulip. Was he really the best available contender?

can fonfara stand his ground vs a big puncher? and how are his counter punching abilities?

 

he was knocked out when he was draining himself to MW, since then he's grown into his natural weight class

Teddy described him pretty good: he's a good comeforward fighter, but can't fight backing up, he also has little head movement (though against Campillo he presented a picture perfect feint and counter), packs a heavy straight right and left hook

all in all, pretty basic fighter with leaky defense and decent power

 

no wont handle it, stevenson is too quick and will ko fonfara in early rounds. fonfara is tall hits harder than bellew, but not as smart so wont survive aslong as tony from what ive seen. im watching him now ^^

Better than that softy Bellew.

 

Bellew is much better than Fonfara, and has a bigger punch. The only difference will be that I doubt Fonfara will try to fight off the backfoot and tire Stevenson out like Bellew did. He's going to come forward and try to land, which means that this is going to look a lot like the Cloud fight, with Stevenson circling away and countering with big lefts. But I don't think Fonfara lasts as long as Cloud. Stevenson by stoppage within 5.

 

Stevenson ran from HBO to keep from fighting Kovalev, now he can fight Fonfara who can't fight at all, zero skills...............

 

I am not saying that that is not true. But... If he wins against Fonfara, Stevenson can not only unified the titles but beat the guy who beat Pascal: Hopkins. He apparently is getting more money with Showtime also. While other ducks are obvious duck, that one is just convenient since his interest seem to be to just drop HBO.

Fonfara is a slightly stronger version of Bellew. He's got a slightly bigger punch, that's it. Skillwise, they're similar.

Stevenson should have no problem with this guy.

 

he is more stationary though, and absolutely can't fight going backwards

if Fonfara wins even 1 round, it will be a huge achievement for him
