  1. Kameda should go downstairs to open up the head. He’s just throwing shots at his gloves.

    Round 6

Hernandez is getting axed onto the ropes by the long right hand of Kameda. Sloppier offense now from Kameda, throwing from across the ring while Hernandez is crouching away. Kameda advances without jabbing, smothering himself as he flurries upon Hernandez on the ropes. Hernandez counters with a jab and chopping right from off the ropes and shuffles off to his side. Long fastball rights wound up by Kameda walking him down.

    10-9 Kameda

    60-54 Kameda

So far whenever he does so it does affect Hernandez.

I don't think Hernandez is winning this fight, or really even has a strong case for winning any round, but does it seem as though the Punch-stats for this fight are perhaps a bit slanted toward the champ?

Hernandez, when he elects to throw, seems to be capable of landing on Kameda with a bit more frequency than the 15 percent figure seems to indicate.

    Round 7

Hernandez is circling to his left, arms down. Hernandez flips up a few jabs from the hip and sticks a few into Kameda's body from his own chest, varying his angles. Jabs by Kameda moving forward. Body slapping flurries by Hernandez backing up. Kameda is leading with right hands, catching Hernandez on the temple as he falls away, bending over and moving his feet.

    10-9 Kameda, but closer

    70-63 Kameda

  10. One thing you can say about these guys

They are both in the ring making punching motions

Yeah, and Kameda landing about half his power punches seems off as well.

You can also say that neither would take more than one elephant tranquilizer dart.

...if you ever had a reason to be hunting & shooting non-lethal munitions at bantamweights. :conf

Ok. Now it looks more like a real fight but did Hernandez wait too long?

Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing Hernandez's corner throw the towel in.

It's not gonna happen, but the same story is playing out every round here. There's still going to be another 4 rounds of one-way traffic at this rate.
