Braehmer's resume is terrible which is a shame because he was decent in his prime. Fonfara beats Braehmer at this point.

Braehmer could possibly win a SD or close UD, I wouldn't write him off. Fonfara isn't a superior boxer, but most likely would take it.

    I would strongly favour Brahmer.

What is this sudden Fonfara hype? Fonfara has just beaten a fighter who was fighting 2 divisions lower, who was beaten by a former WW, who had debateable decisions to Zbik and Vera.

Brahmer is a 2 time LHW champ, who although is getting older, I would favour to beat Fonfara clearly

Did you watch Juergen Braemers fights against Marcus Oliveira, Enzo Maccarinelli, Dmitry Sukhotsky etc. Braemer would lose to Fonfara at this point, anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy.

Not sure Braehmer would be allowed entry into the U.S.

I did watch them, yes and its because of this that I favour Brahmer over Fonfara even at his age.
Are you rating Fonfara for a losing effort to Stevenson and a win over a former MW? I didnt think Fonfara looked good against Stevenson until Stevenson seemed to tire late on and even then wasnt convinced.

Despite Fonfara being kinda flavour of the month, Braehmer is the superior boxer IMO - the main issue is whether the Pomeranian Pummeller still has enough left in the tank for the Polish Prince at 36 years old.

    I think he does.

Decent fight though - cept Braehmer ain't likely to come to the US and I can't see Fonfara travelling to the Deutschland given he's sorta become a fairly valuable member of the Haymon stable.

    Braehmer decision, or late stoppage.

    :?

He dominated Oliveira and Macca, not sure what your problem is with either performance really.

    Sukhotsky was closer, but clear.

Braehmer would've paddled Chavez's ass with ease too.

Sukhotsky was just a bad night against an extremely awkward guy... Doesn't matter though, he still won clearly as IB said. Fonfara is starting to get a bit overrated now, but really the best he's done is "look good" in a losing effort against Stevenson, beat the overrated and coddled son of a legend, and score a come from behind KO against Campillo in a fight he was being completely outclassed in etc. He's a good fighter with a lot of heart, but I see nothing to suggest he would be able to beat Brahmer if they were to fight... Maybe give him a tough night sure, but he will still lose clearly.

    :good

Let's also not forget he looked pretty unspectacular against very badly faded Glen Johnson.

Fonfara has improved and is a decent light heavyweight contender - but that's all he is. JB is a longtime proven quantity at the weight, getting up there in years but still capable of beating all but a couple of people at 175lb.

This is a solid fight for the "100 year talent". Fonfara would be the best fighter Brahmer has faced in a decade. It is a 50-50 fight. I would love to see it to gauge Braehmer.
