yeah a heroin addict can cut his addiction for 3 days and he gets passed a test, a cocaine head goes under radar if you flush it out in a week......dope will stay in your body for a month or 2, depending on how fit you are for all we know andy smoked a small puff of a joint while on a friday night, and almost 2 months ago it still still be recognizable. emanuel augustus was going to fight on short notice but had smoked a joint around 2 weeks before and was celebrating, doing the right thing he owned up and told the boxing commission that there will be cannabis on a drug test, they said fine, but the purse will be split...he agreed. goes into the fight against some prospect and out points him and wins.....the fighters manager find about this and gets the fight overturned. so augustus doesn't get a penny it's a wiered grey area, because the commissions stance is that it is an illegal substance even if it doesn't improve or negate a fighter's efficiencies, it isn't allowed. think about how that peter buckley had a can of red bull in his corner so that he could last the 10 rounder or something like that...still got penalized same with tyson had a puff after the fight and got caught
i stil like a joint now and again, even had the odd one when i boxed. oh,hold on,maybe thats why i was never fit, bollox tysons *****,fuk me,never knew that either, who was the puff, did it giv his name
Kinda of topic. There was a yankee fighter around '02 maybe. He was on a magazine cover, yankee mag i think. He said he smoke a few a day and it was just like a computer game for him. No sure if he was pro or amatuer, am even thinking it may have been a weed mag. He was an NABA or whaaever national champ. Anyone know his name ? Shame he got caught, was hardly setting plaster. Cheers
I love the smell of weed, have to admit If I hadn't got into boxing I would have spent most of my adolesence listening to bob marley, eating space cakes.
good post,my thoughts more or less exactly, apart from me being a smart mudder fooker,**** loads of common sence ,but not a brain cell to go with it
talking about terry d post. i agree that it is a mild tax avoidance. a few cig company's and cigar manafaturures have the licences for words like "joint", "spliff","wacki backi" (and other bait names) henri wintermans has copywrite over the word "blunt".Reason being is that if/when cannabis goes legal they have all the copywrite to compensate and envelope the market.
