Rigo was one of the best until he jumped up the weights. He gave Donaire a whooping like no other

Learned what lesson? Rigo is one of the best super bantamweights ever.

This is the guy I’ve been most excited to see turn pro! Incredible talent in the amateurs. Let’s see if he can become a superstar in the pros… He’s young and got time to build the right way so the sky is the limit

Maybe to you he is certainly not to me.Youre basing that on what one great win over Donaire? Kin hell you must have real low standards.

His other names at that weight he beat was a past innactive Agbeko and against Ricardo Cordoba who he went life and death with not to mention he stunk up the joint in both fights due to his overly cautious way of fighting.

Great talent but also a waste of talent. After his great amateur career i was expecting much more from him i thought he would be a once in a lifetime type of fighter but he failed to deliver.

Should have accomplished much more and could have been a completelly dif fighter but chose to be a boring SOB and thats what most will remember him.

To me he underachieved but hey i have high standards

One great win makes him one of the GOATS at 122 FFS.

Plus everyone worth listening to knows that 118 was always and still is Donaires best weight not 122 .

I know the division is not one of the deepest in history but still naming him as one of the best ever at that weight or any other weight he fought is laughable to say the least.

    Bunch of casuals.

I was just watching this guy on YouTube. Afterwards the Lopez-Kambosos fight came up and I started watching that.
The difference in skill between Cruz and those guys is night and day.
Cruz should go the Lomachenko route, no need to waste any time.

What do you think he has to build? Do you mean his brand? I think he raps as well, maybe he can build some hype and get some exposure through that.

No, I'm basing it off the win over Donaire and how good he looked. And also, how many other super bantamweights have a win that good? Barrera doesn't, Fenech doesn't, Zaragoza doesn't, Ledwaba doesn't, Bungu doesn't. It's only Gomez and Morales who do.

He won every second against Agbeko and on my card, beat Cordoba clearly too. He was tiny next to Cordoba as well. You're grasping at straws saying Agbeko was past prime and inactive. He'd fought a twelve rounder that year, and didn't look any worse than he did against Mares. If you don't rate him highly because you don't enjoy watching him fight, that sounds like a you problem.

It's hard to do more when you're always being ducked, promoted like ****, and nobody wants anything to do with you - for reasons within your control or not.

He might have been boring, but he was a great fighter who proved it in a huge match-up against a near all-time great.

Give us your list at 122 then, see how many of them were better than Rigondeaux there. I'll give you a clue, it's no more than five.

There's nothing laughable about saying Rigo is one of the best super bantamweights ever. You're the one who's sounding like a casual.
