Just heard this sad news http://www.khon2.com/news/local/sto...an-dead-at-age-59/QRL8n8ErrUGmIY1yNLfotw.cspx RIP Champ.
Geez,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, What a good kid,,,,,,,,,,,, Thanks Al,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'll bring up 'The Hawaiian Punch' thread....
Murder charges should be forthcoming against the 290 pound thug who did this to him. What kind of punk attacks an older man that much smaller than he? Release from OCCC next February? Not after this! Now, it's a case of murder, period. Andy was equally classy and dignified in victory over O'Grady as he was with Arguello in defeat, soft spoken and diffident regardless of the outcome of his two biggest fights. I've never forgotten that model conduct. Mahalo, Andy.
your tremendous thread is the first thing that came mind when i saw this. RIP I think I'll watch ganigan vs o'grady tonight
I nearly cried when I heard the he died. It would be too bad if, upon release, his assailant was accidentally shot in the head, thrown in the ocean, and eaten by sharks. Twice.
No, it would be worse if he wasn't shot at all, but got pitched in the ocean with a school of suddenly agitated lionfish.
