Maybe. Lee is an awkward puncher type with some skills. He's flawed. He cuts easy. He doesn't take solid punches too well. But he also has heart / intangibles to come back. And the power to turn the tides.

He is just the young version of Wlad (with far less skill of course)

Theres some great fights out there for him too. He could be involved in some real classics. You have Saunders, Murray, GGG , Quilin rematch , Cotto , Eubank Jr be great if Macklin could get himself somehwere relevant too and maybe a move to 168 Froch would be unreal and the other english prospects Groves and DeGale.

umm i think lee has a lot more ability than gatti, tougher too. gatti was tough but lee is crazy scary tough, dude was literally KO's twice in round 1 vs Quillin and fought his ass back in the fight which was nothing short of amazing.

i still had him losing but him coming close was enough for me. and i was one of the lee bashers, mostly because his chin which is his weakest link but the dude , if he aint KTFO he is very dangerous.

dude has like hearns type scary power. easily one of the hardest hittin MW I've seen for some time

Gattis talent is underplayed a bit but I think Lee is defintely a notch above talent wise.

Andy Lee is definitely more skilled than Gatti.

    Two different fighters.

Both have a massive heart but that's it.

Lee is a boxer puncher who is somehow fragile and finds himself in trouble quite often but manages to survive, fight back and win. He is more skilled and better boxer overall. Arturo was so tough that it made him special. Also he was a good boxer, better than people gives credit for. However Arturo was more like ''give and take'' and in some fights he took crazy punishment but always fought back. I don't believe that Lee could take that much of punishment..

Have you ever seen Gatti fight? probably not because you'd never make that comparison otherwise.

Gatti also has good defense ( which is often overlooked ), while lee defense isn't all that good to be honest.

No. Go back and watch an Arturo Gatti fight. You might as well have compared Andy Lee to Roberto Duran, Muhammad Ali, or Ray Robinson.

    More skilled without the chin.
