Sanders was offered the rematch and turned it down, and instead went for Vitali. He wanted to be the first to beat both brothers.

I'm not Filipino and I don't need a source. I was probably arguing a stupid point that day. I love Pacquiao. He did rematch Morales. The Torrecampo loss was when Pacquiao was a ****ing baby. That doesn't count. As a titlist, when he lost to Singsurat, after taking the title from Sassakul, he should've went after an immediate rematch with Singsurat.

Wladimir could've fought an immediate rematch or sometime after he lost to Vitali as he did fight a couple of times after that. Sanders was almost old when he beat Wladimir.

If you lost to an old guy, then you have to gain revenge ON the old guy. Why didn't Wladimir rematch Purrity as an Olympic gold medalist?

IIRC, Pac had serious trouble trying to make weight for the Singsurat fight. In fact, he ended up having to jump two divisions after that fight to Super Bantam because he just couldn't stay anywhere near 112 anymore. A rematch at that weight, by that time, was likely unrealistic and I wouldn't fault him for not coming down for it. Probably a different story if Pac wasn't so weight drained at 112.

    EDIT: I knew I wasn't mis-remembering it. Here's a source:

Wasn't Wlad well ahead on the cards? I think everyone wrote it off as a young fighter gassing. He would of easily beat Purrity the second time around.

    Thats how I see it.

I don't fault Pacquiao either. Doesn't mean when judgement day comes, we should erase that thought. Throughout boxing history fighters have had to struggle to make weight after losses.

I wish I could've seen that because I can't assume it. Fights aren't over when the other guy is winning and quits or the corner throws in the towel.

Wlad outboxed Puritty easy he was ahead on all cards until his **** trainer throws the towel. Sdunek better told him to pace himself until round 8 but they told Wlad the opposit. They (Sdunek, Timm and Kohl) screamed at him to throw more punches!

After this fight Kohl has other plans on Wlad, he wants to fight him Axel Schulz for the European Title, this win makes Wlad very big in germany.

At this time the Klitschkos where not in the place to choose fighters. The promoter Kohl choosed the fighters.

    That is a big difference.

I didn't know that not going for rematches could produce so many excuses.

I like Lee. He fights to his best abilities. Not the most naturally talented guy in the world, but an intelligent fighter. Vera was a polar opposite. Probably the one of the most unintelligent fighters out there.
