Andy Lee: "I would be very confident in stopping Sturm"

Andy Lee...what has he actually got? A bit of speed and half a dig, thats about it.

He could knock Sturm out, but in fairness to Sturm who I always criticize he doesn't look as vulnerable as he once did. At one point he looked a bit flimsy, getting bounced around by Castillejo. But he's more solid these days, at the expense of some offensive flair though.

End of the day Flea hit the nail on the head, 2 Euro level fighters under the guise of a world title fight. Home advantage would probably be key

Not sure where this leaves Proksa and Lee.

 

Ae you sreious mate? You dont think he has the slightest bit of boxing skill? Hes a boxer first and foremost, with good counterpunching skills, and an ability to pick his shots well. He may not be world class but he has a lot more to him than you think he has.

 

Lee is one of those guys who looked so absolutely lethal in the amateurs, that a lot of hype was heaped on them from the word go, and Brian Vera outworking him (because Vera was and is so far below lee in skill that its unreal) was a major upset and a feak of the Khan Prescott variety.

yes, I made that comparison. Khan panicked when Prescott refused to budge and smacked him him dead in the face. Lee destroyed Vera for the first few rounds, but didn't know WTF to do once he couldn't put him away, so he lost the fight on pure over-confidence and inexperience.

 

Lee has some brutal counters, I would pick him against Sturm, but not against Martinez
