Honesltly i feel its completley the other way round and that irish posters have the green goggles on when discussing irish fighters.

theres no rule for fighters I back. Ive completley turned on Haye who has been my favourite fighter for years. You guys are slagging of Barker when Lee has done nothing more impressive.

honestly i have no bias towards any fighter based on where they come from.

i slag of any fighter taking soft fights. Haye for Audley, Smith for McDermott, Lee for this cook guy.

You slag off Lee because you are a Barker fan but that's ok many posters do that to a certain extent. What pisses most people off about you is that anytime an Irish fighter is discussed you and a few others always start this crap about Irish posters only supporting them because they are Irish? Why do you support British figters? Would it be because you are British?
If you were to make a poll in the General Forum asking who are the most biased and delusional fans on ESB, the British would win hands down but you chose to overlook your own bias all the while using the same thing you and 99% of posters on here are guilty of to shoot down any argument made by Irish fans. Everyone can see it except you.

Not many have been slagging off Barker. They have been defending Lee when you have slagged him off by showing that Barker has done little more, and possible quite a bit less, in his career.

i guess its difficult for each of us to see our own bias. when an irish fighter does something good i will be the first to big them up, same with any boxer. Dunno over Coborda is a prime example. when they do something bad i will be a critic.

Lee's opponent is crap, if it was his 1st year as a pro he would be acceptable. If he fights someone decent next, all credit to him, but Vera does not count as decent. Within the next year, I see the Lee vs Barker/Macklin fight happening. Will be a great night in London or Ireland.

You've slagged Lee of loads on here! You tried to make a point that Barker was better which is why Barker was brought up as many don't agree with you.

To be fair, it wasn't any Barker fans who brought Barker up in the first place in what is supposed to be an Andy Lee - **** fight thread, it was a couple of Irish posters...you being one of them :D

no no no. I tried to make the point of why Barker should be ranked ahead of Lee. Not that he is better.

I do however think he is better, but have never posted about it.

If Barker managed to beat Macklin or Lee I would have no problem with giving him credit. The truth is Lee and Barker are both good boxers with different strengths and weaknesses, time will tell who is the better fighter until then we will just have to back our favourite and see what unfolds.

I have to disagree that Vera is not a decent fight, he is coming off a good win over some Canadian prospect and it is always good to avenge a loss. Look at Haye as an example, if he had avenged his loss to Thompson, which he could easily have done, his detractors wouldn't be able to keep throwing that loss in his face everytime his career is discussed. Same with Khan, if he had rematched Prescott he would get a lot of respect.

I see your point, which is why Vera would be a good opponent now, not later in the year.

Fight Vera now, a world ranked european in October and be mandatory for Barker vs Macklin winner in December. I guess we can all dream

This is getting bloody tedious. He got offered a spot on the card very late. The opponent was bound to be of a poor calibre so Rob do us all a favur and **** off for a nap or something.
And you say no point in fighting Vera because hes lost 3 in a row since the Lee fight? He just beat a ranked supermiddle. Do your homework next time
