This is just a stay busy fight that will get him some much needed coverage on US tv, nothing for y'all to get your knickers in a twist about. Lee wanted Barker but that didn't happen, he also wanted Sturm but he went another way so it's not as if he lacks ambition and lest we forget he did beat the man Barker faced for the EBU so by rights that title shot should have been his.

It's a **** fight but he did only fight in May so it's obviously a keep busy fight. He'll learn nothing from it but it keeps him motivated and reminds the U.S. fight fans that he hasn't gone away. It's better than no fight but still, very disappointing.

Regarding the Vera rematch. Avenging a defeat is always a worthwhile endevour. It will get that duck off his back and show many fans that it was simply an off night. If he fought Vera next, then a tough, high ranked opponent after that, I would say his career would be back on track and a title shot could be possible in 2011.

As a big Lee fan, I must say it's very frustrating to see his career stalled with **** fights like this. But it's better to have a **** fight and stay busy than doing nothing.

its not being shown by ESPN though as the opponent is so poor.

Lee should continue building his name in Ireland and build on his following there.

its only worthwhile is the fighter has continued winning. if Lee is serious about world titles he needs to step it up. If he wants to fight Vera and others, don't mention world titles.

He has his following in Ireland, everyone knows who he is at this stage.

Duddy is now on the way out, Lee can fill that void in New York. Business wise, he is right to stay stateside until he fights for a title.

No, it's worthwhile imo for the reasons I stated. Even if he lost 20 fights, it's worthwhile to avenge the defeat. Same goes for Khan against Prescott, who was also shown up to be nothing great either. That fight that would regain respect from fans and quash some demons in his mind. A perfect stay busy fight.

Prescott fight would be worthless now for Khan.

Agreed it would be a perfect stay busy fight, so why isnt it happening on friday when he is having a stay busy fight with a journeyman.

If Vera was this weekend, that be great, but theres no point having a stay busy fight to prepare for Brain Vera, thats beyond a joke.
