They are still both good prospects. The Lee fight with Vera was BS!!! There is no way that fight should have been stopped. Lee drills Vera with a straight left as the ref is waving the fight off...which happened to be in Vera's hometown! Imagine that???

Ortiz on the other hand just fought a stupid fight against a really tough opponent. How he looks in his next fight will say a lot about whether this is a beating that he can recover from. The guy has great power and fantastic skills though.

I agree with Diamond Dave. Fight fans are too critical of fighters. Remember it is one night only, folks. What if Ortiz or Lee has a headache or stomach ache walking down that aisle? Although they train for this, there is always a possibility of something going wrong. Boxing is about winning and there is too much pressure now for boxers to knock people out. Jermaine Taylor, perfect example. Why did he have to slug it out with Froch?
In all cases - Lee, Ortiz, and Taylor - they got caught up in trying to look good by going for the KO. However, have to agree that more pressure was on Ortiz than Lee. Lee was putting on a punching clinic, but had no plan B when he could not put his opponent away. Ortiz was winning that fight but decided to leave himself wide open when trying to throw power punches.
In any case both will be back although I think Ortiz has the better chance of being a world class fighter - just might need to get Mayweather Sr in his corner or some trainer that can give him a good game pllan
