Andy Lee smashes Troy Lowry to make John Duddy clash possible

I think Lee v Duddy with a strong undercard would sell out the Odyssey. The Derry wans came down in force for the Duddy-Eastman fight at the Kings Hall.

I can see Sexton-Rogan III - it has to happen. Sexton wouldnt be worried with a return to Belfast, he handled the pressure very well in his second visit, but there is an unsatisfactory conclusion to both their meetings. Unknown to most of us at the time, Rogan was retired due to a bad injury and his performance in the previous round before he pulled himself out was down to the injury.

 

Why would Duddy take this fight?

I really like the match up and would have loved seeing the winner face Macklin.

 

He believes he can beat Lee obviously and i wouldnt disagree with an argument that he could.
Lees top 10 ranking with WBA and the potential money to be made just sweetens the deal.

 

I think a presser will be released next week. Thanks Kelly for the info. Duddy thinks he can take Lee out by getting inside the pocket and going for an all out brawl.
I think 2 years ago he might have just been ripe for that but I'm almost certain Joe Gamacho has been working with Lee on staying out of reach and avoiding inside fighting and improving it if he has to. So don't expect to see Lee engaging Duddy.
A real clash of stles here. Lee might win the first few rounds but if Duddy can get near him some people may give him a chance! Personally I am going for a Lee UD or late stoppage courtesy of body shots.
