Lee basically said he will go all out bombing from the bell. Is this the correct strategy against GGG even thought he has the height and reach advantage and isn't this a lazy and defeatist strategy?
Why? I mean even Stevens who is a lower caliber fighter than Lee but with KO power and doesn't have height and reach advantage over GGG didn't adapt that strategy.
Lee has stamina problems from what I remember, there's no way in hell IMO he can outbox and survive all 12 rounds with GGG and he probably knows this as well, it's a "defeatist" strategy but at the same time it's his best chance, look for an early KO.
at least lee is still viable...he has a big punch. he can fight a little. i still think ggg would eventually ko him....i mean, junior ko'd lee with ease...even some unknown named jackson had lee ready to go before andy landed the lucky shot and don't forget, lee has been ko'd by clubfighters in the past. but the thing is, if murray could go 11 and stevens and ouma could go to the 9th and 10th and give ggg competitve fights, i think lee a step above those guys...he has a shot to pull the upset.
It's his best bet. Seen nothing to suggest GGG won't be able to take those shots from Lee, but it'd be interesting to see if he tries to box his way out of it or brawls with Lee.
I believe the title of this thread would be what is called an oxymoron......cos only a moron would even mention this topic.....
