dude hill was extremely effective on the suns for every year. i dont know if you're adding the years up rihgt, no he wasn't the elite guy he was on the magic, but he was a starter and very productive. I quit watching the nba after 2011, I wathc some playoffs, but hill had a **** ton of years.

Yeah, basically after 02 he was considered the best player in the world. Everyone knew him. Brazil didnt win in 98 so his hype in general wasnt close to what it was in 02. If you asked someone who doesn't watch soccer in 98 they'd probably say figo,zidane, or ronaldo but in 2002 he was by far the most known player. clearly above everyone.

 

He had an 18 year career. 5 of them were complete write-offs (Played less than 30 games). I guess you could say he had 13 effective years instead of 12 if you want :huh But then you'd be counting a year where he averaged 10 points per game and only appeared in just over half the games. Either way, 13 or 12. I'd say the comparison is a pretty damn close one across sports.

Why did you stop following?

 

I meant to say figo, zidane, and ronaldo. Ronaldo wasn't the clear cut mainstream guy where I lived at least, when you talked soccer. :finger5<- that's supposed to be a shrug btw lol. They were way more zidane fans that didnt watch football in my experience. After 02 though, it was all ronaldo. I didnt watch league soccer at all in 98, any league soccer back then I only watched the world cup and some j league, but he definitely wasn't the most talked about back then in my experience.

I used to play soccer for my high school, once I graduated the people in my uni didnt watch league soccer at all just world cups. It was a sport where I watched at my brit/german friends place where their dads let us drink beer. Watching it alone was just depressing to me. Back in my Hs days I mostly watched boxing with my dad, so it wasn't that depressing watching it alone, and it was easier to get people to watch it with me, since no one really cared about soccer unless it's the world cup. Same went with basketball, once I graduated college, I stopped watching.
