Andy is a great fighter and a big hitter but I have watched some of his bouts since he was stopped by Vera and I am amazed that he has been unable to rectify the mistakes which led to his stoppage. He still gets hit too easily. (Craig McEwan) The loss to Vera was not an anomaly like most people seem to think. Andy Lee has not changed or improved.
I think it's very likely he'll finish the fight stronger but I really doubt McEwan has the power to force a stoppage, Lee will keep moving, eating some leather but not really getting hurt. This is a the first real measuring gauge for Lee, if he is serious about world titles, he needs to win impressively.
I think you're right about McEwan's lack of power. If he can't get Andy's respect, I think it's obvious Andy would win a "brawl."
Andy has to win impressively in order to get (hopefully) a shot at Martinez. He will be looking for the KO (my uneducated opinion). Hopefully he doesn't get gassed out in the attempt:thinkA boring/safe point win is no use to him. He won't get any title/big fights by being boring. I'm nervous about this fight..........
I think McEwan could hurt Lee is the fight goes into the later rounds but the one thing Lee has added to his Arsenal lately that has really made a difference for me is that uppercut to the body. Lee will target McEwan with body shots in my opinion and McEwan will have box clever. It's very hard to call this. I think McEwam can perform well at times and could frustrate Lee but I think Lee has too much patience for that. McEwan is probably better off chasing Lee and trying to get past his jab. I can't call this without being biased though. I will say Lee UD but if he does stop McEwan it will come from the body shots. If McEwan ko's Lee it will be the last round in my opinion.
