If these two middleweight prospects were to fight, who would win and why.

Just watching McEwan now, he is not really living up to the hype he's been generating.

Lee is also in that prospect category but again, is not impressing in his recent outings.

Saying this, both have good qualities and would not be trained by Steward and Roach if they didn't have potential.

Lee wins this one, good fight though could have it for the celtic title and a shot at the european either way Lee hits to hard and has a better boxing brain than Mc Ewan (who i also think is good)
On a side note Lee beat Mc Ewan quite easily as an amateur in a four nations event.

Big fan of both but I feel that McEwan would hit more and get hit less so would say he'd take the decision. Do you like how scientific that analysis was?!

This fight should happen. Although McEwan has an 0, and Manny tends to go for guys with 4 or 5 losses (at least).

i seen mcewan a couple of times now,not really impressed, and that last night when he stepped up a bit,his power wasent there at all,if he was going places he should be able to beat men like him by stoppage or wide points shutout, not scrapping through

Just for the record I would go with Lee as he is too powerful for McEwan, but I reckon McEwan would make it a hard fight with Lee probably taking a fair few unnecessary shots.

On a side note, John Duddy also beat McEwan in the amateurs, I have it on dvd, watched it the other day and I cannot believe how much Duddy's boxing has went down hill since turning pro. It was like watching a different boxer!

Tough fight but a good one if Lee brings his A game which i haven't seen in a good while he wins it in a close fight. If not McEwan.
