Tonight Andy Lee takes on the toughest test of his career against Willie Gibbs, despite losing his last fight . If Lee doesn't correct the mistakes of the Vera fight he could find himself stopped again and his career would be in tatters .

On the undercard World class prospect Paul McCloskey takes on English Light-Welterweight champion Nigel Wright . Wright recently lost a very close decision to the World Class(4th WBC) Ajose Olusegun and should provide a good test for Wright .

The undercard sees decent Irish prospect Stephen Haughian, recently come un-stuck Irish-English Welterweight John O'Donnell, Jason McKay, Keith Cresham, Jamie power(of Limerick, where this is taking place) and Irish-Canadian Logan McGuinness .

As usual there is a live stream from here: http://www.rte.ie/sport/webcastschedule.html
, which starts at 21:30 Irish time or 16:30 Eastern United States time .

Should be a good nights boxing so enjoy .

Paul McCloskey is another great prospect.

Well action in the arena started an hour and 45 mins ago but tv coverage starts in 45 mins .

McCloskey v Wright will probably be on first but even if your just waiting for Lee you should have a look at McCloskey, he's very talented .

Edison Miranda smoked Gibbs in 1 round, Lee has to make quick work of him if he wants to impress.

He doesn't have Miranda' power and better stick to good solid boxing. If Stewart hasn't driven that out of him.

That was Miranda's 28th fight and he had already fought for a World title .
As pointed out below Lee doesn't have Miranda's power either .

Raymond Joval had to fight very hard to win a close 10 round decision over Gibbs in a real war . Any stoppage or wide decision win for Lee will be impressive, especially considering what happened him against Vera .

I'm hoping Lee can stop this guy inside of 3 rounds. If he sticks to boxing he should create an opening to hurt and finish Gibbs within that time.

Daniel Edouard stopped him in 4. Lee has power enough to end this guy early and that's what I'm looking for to prove that Vera didn't destroy his confidence. I want to see some anger out there tonight.

Daniel Edouard could have very well have gotten knocked out himself the way he fought Gibbs .

Since Lee is an Emmanuel Steward fighter I'm expecting Andy to fight a cautious rangy fight tonight and not get involved with Gibbs at any point . I reckon he'll take him out late .

I expect a pretty cautious opening round from Lee, finding his range, once he sees how easy Gibbs is to hit, he will drop some big shots in round two. Of course he won't throw caution to the wind, but I'm expecting a calculated dismantling in there.
I will be happy with any win for Lee as long as he looks good out there, but I'm hoping for the best, early KO.

My bad in one respect. I was thinking of Duddy's fight with Smitchet. But you are right in one respect. Pavlik says he never goes in looking for the knockout. Take care of business and what follows, follows.... :D
