Before anyone goes "all in" on Lee by KO I suggest you pop over to You Tube and watch Andy's last two fights. The Vera loss was not an anomaly, and nothing has changed. He might stop Duddy, but don't be surpised if this turn in to a war, and Andy Lee gets face lacerated. The poor ****ing kid gets cut from dirty looks.

P.S. Why hasn't Addie said anything about me dissin Noni:think

I'm very worried about the guy now.:hey

Of the footage from the Walker fight he dominated from start to finish and his fight against Lowry isn't on youtube so I don't know what you're talking about. He'll beat Vera when he rematches him also. Having said that, I'm not sure he can stop Duddy, I think a unanimous decision is the likeliest outcome with a few hairy moments for Lee towards the end of the fight.

    Very hard to call this.

A few months ago I would have definatley gone for Duddy but the gap is closer now, arguably Lee has surpassed him. Its true that Duddy was exposed against Chavez Junior especially in the latter rounds but I wouldn't write him off just yet. Lee hasn't fought that type of opposition yet so it's not really a case of comparing like with like.

It's a great match up as they were both touted prospects who impressed at times (Duddy V Eastman & Median & Lee v Daniels & Gibbs) and then they both came unstuck with unimpressive defeats (Duddy to Lyell & Lee to Vera). At times they've both looked uninterested (Duddy v Smichet & Lee V Sipos) and now here they are pitted against other in all Irish clash on the undercard of a major world title bout.

It's one of those fights were you'd expect the winner to go onto great things and the looser to perhaps fade into abscutiry and retirement.

I think whoever is hungrier and wants it more will win in the end and I think Duddy will thrive in this kind of environment. It's interesting that the poll is so one sided. If the views expressed here match the views expressed in the media and the bookies then Lee will be under a lot of pressure to do the business and Duddy will have nothing to loose.

I'm going to go against the grain and predict a Duddy win in an absolute war. Hopefully I'll get a nice price on it too.

Have the said where the fight will be on yet? I thought it was MSG but somebody else was saying it might be in a casino outside of NY.

    The whitewash voting is surprising.

Vera still hasn't shown that he can withstand being accosted with intense pressure, particularly when cut.

Duddy is at least as good as Bryan Vera, and honestly Lee hasn't even stepped up to near that level since.

You don't even have to look at the last two fights. Belghecham - who is fantastically entertaining fighter and easy to root for but falls well short of world class - took Lee life and death back in '09. It is pretty widely considered to have been closer than the official score rendered.

Again, Duddy for all his shortcomings is better than Belghecham.

If John can shake off the Chavez loss and come in confident, motivated and with his hackles up he stands a very good chance of breaking Lee's heart here.

This is a very good fight between two guys on a similar level. The main event has the better talent but this will be the better fight. I'm not really sure who will win this but I'm leaning towards Lee. I think both guys are evenly matched but I like Lee from a styles perspective here. It was smart for HBO to pick this fight up, they were flirting with Martinez-Lee but wisely backed off. But if Lee wins in an entertainng fight while gettting HBO exposure I think Martinez-Lee has a chance at happening sometime this year.

Are you sure you're not mixing the Lee/Belghecham fight up with something else? Lee shut out Belghecham for the first 9 rounds of that fight, he got caught with a shot in the 10th when he gassed, and looked a bit shaky. But I've never heard anybody say Belghecham could have been close on the points.

Maybe your mixing it up Darren Barker's fight with Belghecham, where it Barker faded after 6 good rounds, and it was pretty much even after 12.

duddy is too tough for lee. just watch for him getting inside and roughing lee up. this will be a sustained beating over about 8 rounds.

Ah right, the Barker fight was much closer and that's the one where the prospect very well could have lost...but Affif fought both of them pretty tough.

Belghecham gave it a good go, but besides that last round it was a perfect display from Lee. The only worrying thing is if he was gassing in the 10th, what would 2 more rounds have done to him. Hopefully they'll have him better conditioned for Duddy.
