Gotta say I agree with you. Lee, even though he has looked unspectacular is the toughest guy Quillen has faced. This will be a war between 2 guys that have never impressed me. Really could go either way.

Korobov deserved this shot over Lee. Apparently knocking out a prospect at 154 was enough to land him a title shot at 160 because his performances and resume at 160 since the Chavez loss certainly doesn't look worthy of it.

    Should've been Korobov's opportunity.

Should be Korobov. The way Korobov gasses, its actually a winnable fight for Quillin. But if not for a bigger/money fight at least - it would be nice if fighters faced respectable mandatories. That goes for everyone, just like I think Cotto should face Rubio if hes not going to unify or fight Canelo.

Lee can definitely win if he can produce something of his best... Was never impressed with Quillin, he's very basic and lacks killer instinct. N'dam outboxed Quillin over long stretches despite being knocked down multiple times - I can't remember where a guy who was knocked down so many times was that competitive in a fight. N'dam would probably win a rematch. I'm sure Lee will give Qullin all he can handle, shot or not.

Lee can win this fight, but he always finds a way to lose for some reason. Lee does have lots of power, reach, so he has a good chance to beat Guillin, but neither Quillin or Lee has a chance against Golovkin.............

    He is an absolute joke.

Now he is defending that title against a guy who just went life and death with a no namer down at 154.

Quilin is the biggest bum in boxing.

you called lee a good fighter, then when asked if you'd say the same were he fighting ggg, intimated he is subpar. no mention of win quality.

it's obvious you don't like ggg, why not stop pretending otherwise?

Too bad it's in Vegas, this fight belongs in NY.

Haymon picks Lee because he's still a big name who's looked poor recently - AND THAT has been the Peter Quillin formula for his career, take on name fighters who are on a slide. Mckewan, Wright, Brinklely, Rosado all coming off devastating losses, with Guerrero, Konecny, & Lee looking poor. Credit for the N'Dam fight, though I'm sure the Lorenzo fight and N'Dam's lack of KO power gave them confidence going in.

Meanwhile Korobov is looking pretty capable in his fights wih Edwards & Uzcategui. Strong ring generalship with KO power. He doesn't fit the formula, hopefully if Quillin wins he has to fight Korobov by the end of the year.
