The same level Lee has been struggling with. BJS schooled O'Sullivan who destroyed Fitzgerald in a round (with his hands behind his back no less!), who gave Lee fits.

I've heard Booth talking since the weekend and he was mentioning how they've been working on the right hand. Shortening the distance, getting and staying low, then throwing it in.

Alright, his big right hook ok, but arent we overlooking something/getting ahead of ourselves a bit?
    Andys LEFT CROSS.

With his stringbean physique Andys game plan should revolve around - (in order of priority)
    1. Right jab
    2. Left Cross
    3. Right hook.
That Left cross shouid be his money punch, following up every second jab like night follows day.= - but did you see how many times he completely missed with it. It hardly landed at all. That was very disappointing to see.

Getting too much into his hook means Andy is giving up his major natural advantages (As per Hearns for example) -
    Height length and reach.

Andys hook is deadly yes, but to land it he needs to be in the "danger zone" - within range of anything coming back - (in a way its a bit of a lottery exchanging hooks at close range.)

Whereas his jab and left cross can be thrown and landed from OUTSIDE the danger zone, due to his natural advantages.
He needs to work on that left cross!

It's a fight I look forward to seeing both it seems have mutual respect for each other and it will sell at the box office.Be it in Ireland or the U.K.

Boxing is a business and both will earn great money.

Does this sound like good advice for a 6'2" stringbean?

    "Getting low"
    "Staying low"
    "Shortening the distance"

This sounds more like how you might want Tyson or Kiko Martinez to fight. Short stocky guys. Not Andy Lee!

Did Thomas Hearns fight like this?
Or any other successful tall rangy fighter?

Surely Andy should be keeping it long, no?
    Utilizing his natural advantages.
Getting that powerful left cross on target.
Wouldnt that be a better bet for him?

lee aint got the skills to keep it long for 12 rounds, BJS will beat him imo. Lee needs to exchange closer or he gets beaten up.

If there's an area where he's lacking skills, isn't THAT what a good trainer should be concentrating on.
Not telling him to mix it in close and low where he gives up all his natural advantages.
    That's my point.

    Agreed BJS UD.
Not happy about it, cos I love Andy, but facts is facts and I always call it as I see it.

Yeah I can see Billy Joe being too tricky and slick for Lee. He won't be leaving his chin in the air either. Very frustrating night for Lee, and not a great spectacle for the fans I would imagine.

Not totally confident Lee would beat him, as he's not world class himself, but I've no doubt he'd sign up to lose his belt to Golovkin, whereas European level Saunders wouldn't go within a ten mile distance of Golovkin. W*nk and Saunders would milk that belt for all it was worth.

Saunders has shown a good chin. if that right hook lands its over, but he wont be able to ko bjs easily, and will probably made to miss, until he connects.

Just because it's not been done before don't mean it can't be done now.
