I think you're right. Vera is a good boxer and I don't see what will be different if there is a 2nd fight.

this..mcewan gave andy a way tougher fight than i expected but not in a good way..andy was nearly ko'ed by someone who luckily was at the same level of durability as he was...vera is crude but he can take a punch...andy will be broken down just like before

This would be a good fight and I think Lee might win this time but it is a very even fight. I'd be surprised if Lee took a Vera fight right now he would better off trying to land a bigger fight with someone like Martinez or Williams. If he loses to one of them he could always go back to the Vera fight but if he loses to Vera first then he won't get a Martinez or Williams match.

Lee shouldn't have been stopped in their first meeting, I don't think he'll be stopped in this one. That's the only way Vera is going to win. Lee will find himself a stoppage at some point I feel.

At the time it seemed like this was a fluke win for Vera.. He was considered just a limited journeyman.... Lee was looked at as talented fighter, and that Manny Steward was gonnna bring him back and turn him into a top fighter or maybe Champ.

Well since then Vera has improved alot , and just came off a big win over Sergio Mora.
Andy Lee is really exciting but dont look like he hasnt been picking up anything from Stewart... He's ballsy can punch a little but IMO not world class, and probably never will be.... I think Vera might ko him again.

I dont think he will be too durable when he faces World class opposition. IMO Lee is a top 20 or top 15(at best Mw) in a weak division.... His last fight was very good, and hope he gets a shot at the title($) but he better not fight anyone dangerous till then and blow his shot.

I thought the stoppage was premature first time around.

Still, the rematch will be a pick'em fight.

Please. Andy doesn't have the will or the skill to beat Vera.

People sleep on Vera because at times he has let his ferocity get the better of him, but the dude can actually Box and has the heart of a lion. He can pop from the outside, do work inside, and apply relentless pressure if needed. He is an average guy who knows the Sweet Science and is able to hang with superior athletes.

Lee better stick to those BS Irish cards. He gets in there with Vera? He will see just how far he HASN'T progressed.

Did you see Lee's last fight?

I don't think he's lacking in the will department, that's for sure.

I think we can all agree that this is a fight that excites boxing fans. I wonder if it's of a high enough calibre to get on HBO. :think

I'm sure people who watched the McEwan fight will tune in again and the rematch angle would work also.
