McEwan deserves a rematch, no doubt about it. It was a brilliant fight and no doubt HBO would welcome this match up with open arms. As an Andy Lee fan, I hope he does a better job than last time. I believe he is the superior boxer and made hard work of McEwan, who is a quality boxer in his own right, but he is limited. Next time I would hope Lee to be winning at least 70% of the rounds. I think he is capable of that.

 

No need for a rematch now, Lee wants to move up the ladder, a fight with McEwan after the KO is unnecessary. I'm sure it'd be fun to watch but it wouldn't move Lee's career.

 

I think McEwan is better off at 154. I was convinced McEwan would box Lee's ears off until I saw the actual size difference at the weigh in.

 

I agree McEwan at 154 would be more of a force and once Lee makes his jab and speed a first priority we might see the best of him. Rematch at 160 McEwan would be more aware of Lees power so he would keep his distance by instinct, which would backfire and play onto lees hands. Another competitive fight, but this time Lee by UD.

 

lee sucks at inside fighting thats why McEwan trying to pull a Vera. Funny how he beat Vera but loses to Lee.

Mcewan has much thicker arms and legs than Andy Lee and has not made 154lbs since his teens. Its going to be a major struggle for him to get there after so many years but i wish him luck.

 

Hmm the first fight was really fun and Mcewan seemed ready to pull off the upset until the knockout but I can help but think that Lee had and off night and can do a lot more to improve than Mcewan who seemed he was fighting the fight of his life. I mean Craig can improve his stamina and get more experience but I think Lee learned a lot from the fight.

 

I hope the boxing fans get behind Craig McEwan in the future also. He seems like a top lad and came on here and defended Lee from those criticising his performance by saying he punched harder than anyone he faced in sparring or actual fights and he won the fight fair and square. Thought that was a very classy out of him. I liked him before the Lee fight, I like him even more now.

 

I think Lee would beat him comfortably in a rematch. Doubt it happens though as Lee is looking at bigger things.

 

McEwan always seemed like a top man. Maybe a move back to Britain would be a good option for him now.
