It would be interesting for comparison purposes between Chavez Jr and GGG, but I suspect it would be a slaughter for Golovkin. Lee has no head movement whatsoever and is pretty predictable offensively, I just see Golovkin slipping that jab and coming back with counter hooks until Lee is stopped, probably in the middle rounds.
GGG is a beast and the real deal. He'd walk thru Andy's best shots and ASIDE from having to deal with hia pressure theres GGG's devastating power that has even heavyweights in check. Lee getting ko'd ugly in this one.
I always assumed you were from NYC cos of your handle. I've read all of Frank McCourts books, Limerick seems like one rough old town...
After seeing him gasping for air under Fitzgerald's pressure I have to say with conviction that Lee on current form would be unceremoniously KTFO by Golovkin.
Lee's one advantage of being a southpaw will be nullified against GGG w/all the AM experience. Andy's gameplan must be how he started the Chavez Jr. Fight using his jab & fighting from distance. Lee's height could be a secret weapon IF he uses it right. GGG by KO tho.
Would be far more itnerested in seeing Barker face GGG, I'd be shocked if either fight didn't end in a last third KO win but I think Barker would pose a greater challenge.
Agreed. Based on styles, Darren has the brighter outlook (of, as you say, surviving a bit longer :yep)
Id expect a MUCH different Lee if he was figting a real opponent, he was strolling around smiling and basically being lazy against Fitzgerald. Also an amateur fight when Andy was a kid, isnt a fair indicator. GGG may well win, but unless he really has sledge hammers in his fists,It'd be hard to see him KO'ing Andy. Stoppage maybe, but not a KO. Andy basically has no head movement, and blocks punches with his face, yet has NEVER been on the canvas.
