That a career 154lber is top of the 160 division says either he's really something in this era (he is to some degree) or that the current division lacks depth (which it does to some degree).

Macklin, Pirog, Golovkin and Lee all make for entertaining fights with Sergio. Golovkin has the physicality and style to pressure and punish Martinez, but he's not as crafty as the Argentinian.

The only reason people don't get excited over these guys is that they're not that famous and they don't have the obvious traits that make people tune in.

A lot of natural 11stone fighters have sat on top if the middleweight rankings. But yeah, not a great era for the weight at the mo'.
