    Remember the aust v usa in the grand national sedans?

    The midgets before the sprint cars come on the scene. Then the stock saloons...lol, screeching wheels and fan belts, eh holdens getting thrashed. The following week me and my mates would find about three of these cars dumped in the bush where we rode our bikes. :lol:

    I remember Australia v England in the solo bikes,sprintcars were my fav the Rush's and Tatnell's just to name a few,best part of the nite for me was the end for the demo derby.Everytime i hear Mike Raymonds name i think of Oran park and Ameroo...:good

    Yeah, i remember the bikes on the inner track :D

    Ole olson was the legend back in the day i think. Denmark and other countries competed too from memory. No brakes on those things lol.

    The demo derby was brilliant. First one i saw was when the track was asphalt. Then they turned it to clay. Tattnell, rush, steve kinser ( won everything in his commodore sponsored car)....but my fav was old bobby blacklaw! :lol:

    And i know nothing aboutmotor racing or cars. But the speedway was the place to be back then as you know.

    Funny...i was first introduced to "land down under" song there. It was alway played between races lol. Danny green aint got nothing on the speedway and that tune :lol:

    My olds grew up in Miller and Ashcroft, Think you might be a bit younger than them though...Was a good old area, Gone to **** though in recent times
