Can you imagine what this would do to the credibility of Joshua, Klitschko, and boxing in general? This is just such an awful fight I can't understand how people are supporting it. The guy hasn't beat anyone why does he deserve this opportunity? Did anybody actually watch his fight against dimitrenko? Good for him for getting a check but can you imagine Andy Ruiz as the face of the heavyweight division? What a joke.
It would be hard not to see the funny side, especially after seeing the look on Eddie Hearn's face. The worst part is there would be a rematch.
Not just the face but more importantly the body as well. Can you imagine how inspirational he will be to millions of ordinary overweight men around the world with the message that you don’t have to be a 6’6” super ripped mighty muscled Superman and live a Spartan existence to realise your sporting dreams? Lol.
It would be great for boxing. Imagine all the fat guys at the pub taking it up.. It would be huge, boom boom..
you young guys would never live it down. your era would have consisted of a bunch of generic hw pretenders.
On the contrary, it would be huge for boxing. Massive interest in the inevitable Wembley rematch, the Mexican fans, so passionate in their support of boxing, becoming engaged in the hw division though Andy's Mexican roots, US fans also having a unified champ for the first time in years. Uk fans seeing their champ brought down but with a chance to redeem himself. Could be great for the division.
no one else was man enough to fight the champ. Fury fighting a bum, Wilder fighting Joshua’s leftovers, Miller filling his body with steroids and Ortiz running away in horror despite being offered more money than he’s earned in his entire career. It’s the duck club.
It would be horrible, Andy “ Snickers “ Ruiz beating Joshua would throw out the message that discipline is a needed characteristic in boxing.
I agree with most of what you're saying but the better fighter on the night should always get the win. That doesn't always happen in boxing with the judges and the corruption and all but if Ruiz beats Joshua in that ring fair and square, then yes it would suck lol. I want to see Joshua vs Wilder and a belt-less Joshua will be a good reason for Wilder and Fury to not fight Joshua and so that will prolong things even more. I saw Ruiz against my man Parker and I can honestly say that Ruiz is some serious work. To miss out on Miller, Ortiz and then get Ruiz is just asking for bigger trouble and thats what Joshua wants. Joshua would be treating Ruiz as the hardest opponent he's faced and so I don't think Ruiz will win. I'm predicting a good fight though.
Yes as Joshua is becoming as boring as Klitschko he has no character and is just a walking advert for big comparate companies, Edwardo is his puppet master and controller, Joshua has no personality , i would love to see Ruiz win at least it would bring some excitement back to the heavyweight division.
