Getting back up just means you were able to get back up. Being knocked down by guys who can't punch or guys who were past their primes means your chin is questionable. Tyson Fury was knocked down by light punching cruiser weight Steve Cunnigham and light puncher heavyweight Nevin Pajkic. Which means Fury has a questionable chin. Fury got clipped by Wilder and went down. It is hard to really gauge Wilder's power since he never knocked a world class fighter who was still in their prime. In Andy Ruiz case it isn't like he is in the ring with tons of punches and walked through their punches. Joshua and old Ruiz were the only "punchers" he faced and Joshua was able to knock him down and should of knocked him out if Joshua had a better chin and could stand there and bang and Chris Arreola was able to knocked down and hurt Andy badly but is so broken down that he couldn't finish him.
"Being knocked down by guys who can't punch or guys who were past their primes means your chin is questionable." Ali, Holmes and Foreman had very questionable chins by that standard.
There are a lot worse match ups, so yeah i'd like to see it. A half in shape and motivated Ruiz against Wilder would be watchable
So lets make it happen. Ruiz might just shock the world again. This is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of the undisciplined fat boy.
It's a cracking fight, not sure who would win but a ko would happen. It would sell well, a chance for both to make stacks of cash.
Most fighters would. There must be only a few good chins in heavyweight history. I guess if you're not Oliver McCall you're David Price.
I remember a report that this was going to be ordered as an eliminator but has that actually happened yet?
Ruiz, if he can get inside might have a chance. Fury showed everyone Wilder's inability to fight there. His first priority is not to let Wilder dictate the distance.
