I wish him well and very best of luck.

He made a huge mistake, but... maybe he didn't cope with the pressure of becoming a world champion and all the attention that came with it, it can just drain and crush some people, some fighters go off the rails with drink, women and sometimes drugs..

With Andy it looks like its food, I hope he gets it together and shows what he looks very capable of.. if he gets himself in fighting shape and is focused and works well with Reynoso then he is going to be a serious problem for a lot of heavyweights.

Wait until Ruiz has his first fight back, after Hearn will come rushing out, insisting Ruiz fights Whyte, firstly to give Whyte and himself another PPV date and to stop any talk of a trilogy fight should AJ Vs Fury not happen.

Before AJ 2 fight Andy was in shape as well, but started eating like crazy and in one week became so fat that he could hardly move.

Why he sets himself up for stick like this I'll never know, I don't get it...
Why try to make people think you ain't fat anymore like we aren't ever going to see for ourselves you're still a fatty, ruiz will always be a fatty, it's the way he's built.
Just say it as it is andy, "I lost 20 odd pounds and feeling great" .. And post a 'real' picture...
Would go down and come across much better in the long run.

Just sets himself up for shtick doesn't he. Lol

I can't support the guy. He burned bridges in the biggest fight of his life.

For his sake though, I hope he gets it together. He is going to have a short life if he doesn't.

He might just be Chris Arreola 2.0. Arreola's camp was saying before every fight that Chris had turned the corner and was going to come in lighter and leaner. It never really happened.

If Ruiz truly has his weight down and gets in the shape you'd think a pro fighter would be in, he can make some noise in the HW division.

Exactly, can we please see a regular angle and a pic where he isn’t sucking in his stomach and lifting his arms up. Former chubby person here and those are the oldest tricks in the book.

As many have said, it is filmed at a deceptive angle- possibly to mask photoshopping.

As a a few others have corrrectly said, it is not healthy to gain and lose that kind of weight. He is not Tyson Fury, where a hundred pounds is not that much distributed over a 6'8" frame. Losing that much weight all at once will not be good for his heart or muscles.

I wish him well, but let's see how he does against Arreola.

It must be 2005 because Andy Ruiz is using the old MySpace angle.

Agreed. He let a lot of people down, not by closing but by closing so out of shape.

He lost me as a fan, but if he proves he is dedicated win or lose I will be a fan again. Until then I'm only interested in watching him fight to see what shape he is in.
