Depends on your definition of in shape. He could burn most of that fat and the bulk up and end up like Oscar Rivas. Rivas i rekon is in shape and he's well over 200 pounds
All of the decent super heavys should be able to shut him down with a jab, even Wilder If you want to fight like Ruiz you need to be able to close distance fairly quickly and have head movement, he doesn't have that. It's a horribly energy inefficient way of fighting also. Fury would embarrass him, AJ still embarrasses him after learning from his mistake. The more times AJ fights Ruiz Jr the better, he will just continue to improve his positioning and jab & will learn how to shut little men down...and without clinching as much as Wlad. AJ would also gain is confidence back and start finding his offence again. Ruiz Jr doesn't deserve another fight but AJ would benefit off it, mentally especially. Whyte Ruiz is a fight. What a fight.
