You realise Ruiz basically won every round after the knock down?

He also got hurt again after that knockdown. You also realize that Ruiz resorted to fighting Arreola more cautiously for a portion of the fight because Areola was whooping him in the exchanges early on, despite Ruiz being the significantly faster fighter ? You also realize he couldn't KO this past it Arreola ?

He has impressive handspeed but he's limited and the performance was a bad one, especially against a shot Arreola. I legit would have Luis Ortiz as a slight favorite over him. I hope Ruiz proves me wrong in the future because he has an exciting style and we need more champs from the US and just short champions in general, thats why i have high hopes for Jared Anderson, but im just calling it how i see it

Yeah but even glorified Journeyman Takam is likely better than this version of Arreola, possibly even significantly

Yeah Povetkin is beyond shot. And Pulev though past it would take this fight by decision, the jab is just too good for Ruiz LOL but i see him getting caught flush with counters quite a bit and I also see tons of clinching

Hey, at least Ruiz has a great win over undefeated prime AJ?? Unlike the rest of the top HW "champions "

Who said Fury and Wilder aren't overrated ? Fury went from one of the most underrated heavyweights to one of the most overrated. People legit think Fury beats every heavyweight in history just because he's big and he outboxed a gunshy past it Klitschko and beat 1 trick pony Wilder LOL you can't make this up.

Also Klitschko was over the hill but he wasn't shot because 2 years after loosing to Fury he pushed Aj to his limit and probably would have stopped him had he stepped on the gas so you have to give Fury credit for making easy work of Wladimir

I can see the debates we'll be having in the future about this. People saying Ruiz was a top heavyweight of this era based off if this one win because they are Joshua fan boys while others will be saying Ruiz did bugger all apart from have one good night vs an unfocused champ, lose narrowly to a weak title holder/fringe conteder in Parker and go 12 rounds with past prime Arreola.

He'll basically be this era's Corrie Sanders.
