Joshua can't avoid taking this rematch but neither can he avoid Ruiz's punches when they come rolling at him. Problem.

Noted. I'll remember that if he beats AJ again. It won't be that impressive since he has said AJ can't box for ****. Hey, he said it.

Just because he's big and cut doesn't mean he's more of an Ali or Roy. He's more technical and straight forward. Has good technique, smooth combos, high guard. I actually think his main flaw is being robotic.

People are talking ****, oh he's a big, athletic freak. You can really tell who doesn't know **** about boxing. AJ is a straight up good, orthodox boxer. He might not have ATG skill, but that is his main asset, and his power and size.

I don't see freak athleticism displayed when he fights.

I expect we see a less muscle bound Joshua but it isn’t going to matter. Ruiz has his number. I don’t expect to see a different result in the rematch.

Ruiz is funny but he basically just said Joshua is rubbish "but it's gonna be a good fight though"

Don't worry Andy you have my money to see you beat him again

So we are going to amateur records to prove something. Irrelevant. Ruiz has this. He beat the brakes off Joshua. Once you have beaten that ass it is easier to do it the second time. Joshua can win the rematch.....but he has a lot to overcome to do it. He got his ass handed to him by a fat guy. A fat guy that knocked him down four times. 4 times. It doesn't matter what happened in the amateurs. He had his ass handed to him by Ruiz.

I actually think he can box and he did put Ruiz on the deck after all, just didn't finish him or be smart enough to be aware of the injured opponent..
I think he can improve in that department but where I think he struggles and I'm sure you'll agree is his stamina over a possible twelve rounds. The kid just gasses out after four rounds and only by some miracle or PEDs was he able to overcome this in previous fights.
I reckon Ruiz being a smart guy did his homework on this and unlike Wlad,Whyte ect he didn't allow Joshua to take any rounds off for his second wind. This is where Joshua will likely struggle again as Ruiz ain't gonna let him get that miracle second wind is he?

Lol four times was it?still not seen it actually. You're probably right here but imo it's still a 50/50 fight that can go Joshuas way.
I do know what you saying though as Ruiz has the mental upper hand also which shouldn't be understated as Joshua now knows if he didn't before that Ruiz isn't gonna fold after getting dropped and he doesn't seem the type to get intimidated by a large pro Joshua crowd.Put it this way if Joshua wins he will of earned it as Ruiz will fight in the trenches over twelve rounds.

He did drop Ruiz, which incidentally was the first time anyone has dropped Ruiz in his career, but... AJ really paid for it. I'm not sure I'd be looking at that as a feather in his cap. AJ needs to become skilled at fighting off the back foot because everyone knows Ruiz will come forward. Personally I don't think AJ can do it but anything is possible. The one thing he has going for him is that he knows what Ruiz is going to do at least.

I’m concerned about Ruiz, he’s buying cars and flashing his wealth on Instagram. When you are given extrinsic rewards intrinsic motivation declines. He better get his mind on his love of the sport and on his craft before things turn sour for him. At the moment he’s looking like a poor person who won the lottery and ruined himself.

What a good post and to be fair Joshua himself said he got wobbled and never recovered.Never understood the robotic thing, his display against Wlad was incredible as they were both going for it but like you say displaying quality orthodox boxing.AJs problem for me is that since that display against Wlad he's not been able to find that level again, wether through change of plan or styles of opposition he's not looked as deadly or driven since then.
Could be now he's lost that he'll revert back to that form as I don't care who you are?only Mayweather made boxing look easy every single time and even he had a few bad nights which I might add he always looked to rectify in the rematch as Joshua needs to do.
Truth is when you get 50/50 and 60/40 fights the odds suggest you will lose eventually and this is completely fine and how it should be.Let's not forget that Fury was a second away from losing and only corrupt judging allowed Wilder to escape with a draw.
