I can imagine that this dumb Eddie Hearn didn’t even have a rematch clause

Al Haymon will play them out easily

I still remember how ****y Eddie was a year ago when he came to America with the DAZN “We will sign every good fighter, Joshua knocks out Wilder easily,” etc

Surely the fact that Joshua has the rematch clause in the first place entitle him to have the fight wherever he says, or maybe I'm just being naive

I don't expect it in the UK or Mexico, I expect it LV or NY, DAZN will want the rematch in the USA and there the two biggest venues, plus the bookies will have it 50-50 so Vegas would make a lot of money

Sometimes boxing politics can make things happen in the right way. It looks like Andy Ruiz has more say and leverage against AJ than Rahman had against Lennox with Haymon and DAZN. Ruiz-Joshua II will definitely be an interesting fight. We will know if what Ruiz accomplished was not just a one-time fluke or can Joshua gain redemption and his world titles.

Of course Al Haymon has no doubt triggered the Muhammad Ali act which would have put the ball back in Ruiz's favor in terms of where the venue where be held and how much he is entitled to as champion.

I foretold that the fight will never happen in the uk.

Hearn will attempt to save face and use spin to make out that it was AJ's choice all along to fight in America without his TUE.

Of course some of you were born yesterday,so will swallow that narrative without hesitation.

I don't blame the World Champion, Joshua is nobody now, in reality he doesn't deserve a shot after his pathetic first fight quit, immaterial anyway where the fight is held, AJ is getting KTFO.

Ruiz forgets himself. He wasn't mando. He didn't earn his shot, he was given it and thus the respectful thing to do would be give the man who gave him the massive opportunity he took with both hands a chance to avenge his defeat.

The first Unified Champion in the history of the sport to quit against the challenger.

    Breaking the wrong records.

Well that's why the rematch is signed, where Joshua will have his chance for revenge

There's clearly been a **** up in the original contract with the rematch clause. Shortly after the fight, Kugan Cassius did an interview with Hearn where he tried to probe as much he could about the details of the rematch clause regarding location etc, and Hearn dodged all of the questions.

What a load of pure ****e. Hearn and Joshua showed Ruiz absolutely no respect beforehand by talking about Wilder throughout the entire build-up and fight week.

Ruiz will rematch Joshua, it's been agreed and he's given his word. He's just not going to get mugged off by the ref/officials in the UK. Fair play to him. It's cold and rainy at that time of year in the UK, he logically will want home comforts.

If Hearn did his job properly all of the details around location would have been dealt with in the original rematch clause.

I don't think he has an issue with doing so. He just wants a say as to where the rematch is being held, and I don't blame him.

Still can't believe after one fight, people are putting Ruiz in their P4P list

There are so many things we all want. Doesn't mean we get them.

The problem is rematch contracts for guys like Ruiz who are not mandatory usually are very clear on who gets to decide on things such as venue. And it doesn't sound like its Ruiz.

Some speculation in this article that Hearn is holding back the Ruiz vs. AJ announcement as to not hurt Whyte's ticket sales (which seem to look dire).
