Andy Ruiz Jr. Drops Weight in Preparation for Rematch

AJ couldn`t figure out how to get through Ruiz`s guard, his right glove was always protecting his chin and his left arm was active moving up and down protecting the top of his head from AJ`s right hand, AJ can move all he wants, he will still have to try and land and his offensive IQ simply wasn`t good enough for him to do that in their first bout.

As said in the initial thread regarding this topic, this photo is for a clothing advert. The photo is clearly going to be doctored. Additionally, the video for the advert shows Andy Ruiz looking much heavier than in the photo.

 

Dude is standing in a way that his shirt would hide most of his fat (arms up leaning forward). Is in a professional shoot where they touch up the photos, and ESB goes bananas.

Guys the models you see, and the Instagram girls don't really look like that either in real life. I hate to be the bearer of bad news.

 

Ruiz has once in a generation fatness as far as top fighters go. There are many guys who get really fat out of training camp, Fury, Parker, Hatton, the list goes on. But the difference is they all come into big fights without masses of fat still there. One day people will look back and realise how remarkable Ruiz's fatness was at the highest level. There may never be an active HW champ as fat as him ever again.

 

I think he might be doing a keto diet. Everything he posts on Instagram is a fatty carb-free meal.

 

Because it's a photoshopped picture used for an advertisement. That isn't actually what he looks like right now, as evidenced by the video of the photo shoot. People are going bonkers over a heavily airbrushed picture.
