Whats your thoughts on the heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr, who lost on points to Joseph Parker a couple of years ago.

He is better than Joe Parker because of his power and technique. He definitely in Top 10 but I place him right at 10 because I have doubts that he can take power well.

Top 15 heavyweight, Ruiz jr. had a close fight against Parker but so did Takam, Hughie Fury and even Cojanu
    went 12 rounds with him.

He is too fat and too small, not skillful enough to compensate for his featherfistedness and lack of height.

He won't go far, he can't compete at the highest heavyweight level and he would be better in the cruiserweight division after melting down to 200 pounds.

Can see him at lower bottom top 10 in the future at best.

How do you think he'd cope vs a power puncher like Joshua ?

He never looks great on the scales but you really think he could make cruiser ?

Nah, i don't think he will ever make cruiser but he would be a formidable cruiserweight in my opinion, easily top 5.
He would be even faster, more powerful against smaller fighters and he wouldn't have to deal with physically
superior fighters almost all the time.

Ruiz jr. has nothing against Joshua, total mismatch in my opinion.

Ruiz Jr is a disappointment for me.

Has really good skills, great hand speed and so far shown good power at the level he has fought at.

He just lets himself down with his diet. Is way too heavy and this affected his stamina against Parker and lost him that fight. After the Parker fight he lost tons of weight, which he then puts back on again in preparation for his comeback fight.

He is top 20 to top 15 HW. He isnt in the Top 10 at the moment, but could get there if he can improve his diet and get into better shape.

He has good hands, fast, decent technique, knows how to counter as well as being aggressive. He isn't a huge hitter but has decent power, though it fades, he's only got one stoppage after the 6th round I think.

But he's pretty easy to hit, couldn't really cut off the ring vs Parker, he mainly had success by countering him as Parker led. He's massively overweight, makes Arreola look Svelte in comparison which is a shame he's far more talented than Arreola ever was.

His total lack of self discipline will ensure he never becomes a serious threat to any major title holders. Top guys like Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz, Povetkin would crush him. Whyte and even Parker who has improved defensively since they last fought would be too much for him. Miller and Breazeale too, would be too much for him. Ruiz Jr is a top 20 level gate keeper at best.

I would like to see him in with some half decent opposition before he gets another shot at a title. Parker is the only decent opponent he's faced 32 fights into his career.

He's talented, but I don't believe he is dedicated enough to act upon that, in peak condition he should be a CW. Yet despite vowing to work even harder after the Parker fight he's still coming in at 260.

He's been a pro for very nearly a decade now yet I couldn't tell you what his best win is. Liakhovich? Hamer? Johnson? None of them even remotely close to being world class at the time. Regardless of how close the Parker fight was, I strongly doubt he'll win a world title. He may shock a higher ranked contender down the line, such as Whyte or an aging Pulev, but I don't believe he can trouble Fury, Joshua or Wilder.

He is a top 10 guy, I think he is competitive with everyone outside of Joshua, Wilder, Ortiz and a prime Fury. His biggest weakeness is he has below average power and absolutely no defence, his strong points are his hands speed, chin and combination punching.

This. Ruiz has talent and could easily be a top 10 fighter and maybe even a top 5 fighter if he applied himself, but he's a lazy fighter, who rarely comes in shape and he's also very inactive for such a young fighter.

Whyte KO8 Ruiz jr. if that fight ever happens.

Whyte would rough him up, wear him down and knock him out with a left hook in the 8th round leading on the scorecards, Ruiz jr. couldn't ever really compete with the Body Snatcher :nonono.

He weighed 147kgs as an amateur or 325lbs so i dont think he will ever have the adonis body but as you say he should be lighter.

I think he could trouble Fury with his hand speed, especially the 2018 version of Fury, but i doubt they would take the fight.
