Id suggest a change in user name This is probably a worse thread than "Otto Wallin theoretically retired Tyson Fury" Which was just one of your gems
Boxing is the art of hitting and not getting hit yes Ruiz hits harder than AJ and is more dangerous on the inside we know this this is why he won the first fight AJ is the smarter fighter with a better boxing IQ who adapted and changed his entire style to win in a landslide points victory against Ruiz he boxed Ruiz's goddamn head off lol AJ did what true champions do he Adapted.
Very well put. I cannot understand how any boxer who gets opportunity to fight for and indeed win the World Heavyweight title, can basically throw it away through their not training, bad lifestyle choices or such. It is the bloody Heavyweight title, it has history, kudos and can earn you mega money from it, sadly some do not hold that same esteem for it.
Well said. Joshua learned from his mistakes and fought a smart fight, and, like many great champions, avenged a loss. Ruiz looked like he didn't care enough to do any training, and plodded around the ring like he didn't give a ****. I don't understand how anyone could think he should be champion after that.
I like Ruiz a lot but the rules of boxing do not require you to physically dominate your opponent to win Joshua won on points I hope andy rebounds and they have a trilogy with Andy prepared for the third fight
Two disagreements: AJ hits harder than Ruiz, not vice versa. But he came in too recklessly & got caught by a top notch boxer in terms of combination speed & skills. Who then was irresponsible or out of control in terms of his fitness & training for the rematch. Boxing is in some good part about landing & not getting hit. But some of the very best find ways around that. Such as hitting less often but harder &/or more effectively & accurately. And/or absorbing mucho punishment before dominating.
Not technically KTFO, but in general a very truthful post! AJ fans are still very defensive about the disgraceful saga with Taco Tits. They spent so much time pushing the narrative of AJ the destroyer and also used it to claim supremacy over boring Fury. And when you do that and then your man resorts to runner tactics against a smaller and less powerful man just to get the technical win, it's quite difficult to deal with. Even if Fury had been KO'd by Wlad and then come back to win a safe points victory, it would have looked bad. Everyone would still believe Wlad won that H2H. But if Fury had been KO'd by a small fat man and then come back to skate around for a safe points victory, imagine how disgraceful that would be! He'd never live it down. In fact, Fury made AJ look even worse by going on the offensive against the most dangerous puncher in his rematch, to get the conclusive victory! And trust me, when Hearn-Sky spin fades, AJ will never live down the Ruiz saga. The only way he could possibly repair that damage somewhat is to rematch Ruiz and destroy the carnival fat man. But it's unlikely to happen!
Are you crazy? You didn't know what happened after Ruiz beat AJ in the first fight, did you? He had enjoyed his life too much since he became a national hero. He spent days and nights to celebrate that biggest victory in his life with his family, relatives, and friends. Finally, he became an obese fighter like James Toney and got beat up in the rematch. He had no discipline.
