I agree, unless there is a stoppage is doesn't count, you have to KO the champion to win.

Hmmm Imagine that, changes Mayweathers record quite a lot.

Yes, **** that guy. I believe that if he'd come in lighter than the first time with a better camp he could have still won the rematch. Instead he chose to filter-feed every goddamn plate of food in the southern US and he deserved to lose.

No - Ruiz is not the champion. If he lost primarily because he didn't show up, that's his own fault. He gained like 20lbs for the fight, didn't take it seriously, and decided to go to Pizza eating competitions and throw parties and drink alcohol instead of training. He said it himself "I partied too hard". He needs to decide if he wants to be a fat F*ck or a fighter.

But personally, I don't think it would have made a difference. Wins by KO are not more valid than wins by points. Ruiz is a smaller heavy weight, and doesn't really have a jab, and sometimes smaller heavyweights can struggle against bigger opponents with good jabs.

Ruiz had no answer to Joshua's jab, and Joshua just fought exactly how Wlad fought many times.

In the first two rounds of the first fight, Joshua controlled the fight with his jab, and only looked vulnerable when he tried to KO Ruiz.

Joshua is the deserving champ. Whether it's because Ruiz cannot handle a bigger man with a better jab, or because he's just not interested anymore, or a bit of both, makes no difference.

Ruiz needs to work his way back up the ranks. He got his chance to solidify his belts in the 2nd fight, and got beat by a decent jab.

No where in the rules of boxing does it state that you cannot win with a good jab. Like I said, Wlad's jab was arguably what kept him champion for so long.

Risk avoidance is sometimes necessary. Joshua did it vs Parker and Ruiz, because his Achilles heel is smaller, quicker fighters with fast hands.

I agree. Ruiz has an insane chin. That uppercut Joshua landed in the first fight looked like it didn't even phase him.

I think it was a case of the real AJ showing up in the rematch like it was the real Gypsy King showing up in the rematch against his son Bootleg D.

Also Brit Level warriors are adaptable and we can switch our styles up. Notice how Fury employed the Slick Gypsy style in the first D fight when he was an inactive muscle atrophied drug-ravaged suicidal cadaver and then walked him down like gypsy juggernaut destroyer in the rematch where he literally beat the soul out of his body. And how AJ completely switched up his style from an aggressive cerebral banger to the Slick American low output running style for the rematch.

Don't be surprised, providing Clenelo can somehow manage to pluck up the courage to take the BJS 2.0 challenge that is which I strongly doubt, when BJS 2.0 switches it up and bullies and walks Clen down all night before brutally dispatching him sometime in the second half of the fight with a series of Tyson-esque savage power punches.

It's boxing, not toughman. Joshua fight intelligently in the rematch and won easily, doing exactly what he should have done.

Ruiz might have made it interesting had he chosen to train properly, but he didn't. I don't care to see him get another shot at a title unless he shows a commitment to becoming a professional athlete.

I really don't understand people complaining about how Ruiz had parties too much and gained weight and didn't train properly after his victory against AJ.

I am not interested in his personal life, neither any of you should be.

I am interested in the performances in the fights. 1st match everyone without a doubt agrees that Ruiz destroyed AJ.

In the rematch, Andy Ruiz was again the superior boxer. Just go to YouTube and watch the full match again. Whenever AJ came close and got engaged with Ruiz, he was punished by Ruiz's heavy hand, he couldn't win a single battle. If he had tried to engage with Ruiz a little more, he would have been KTFO again, just go and watch the full match again, you will understand what I mean. HE WAS PUNISHED BY RUIZ EVERY TIME HE GOT CLOSE. He just used his height and reach advantage, circled around Ruiz and hit him here and there and grabbing him all the time. He kept away from Ruiz all night. That kind of win doesn't deserve 3 belts.

Andy Ruiz Jr is still the real champ. Whoever wins the Fury vs Ruiz fight will be the undisputed heavyweight champion.
