Parker is a lot taller than Ruiz, Parker and AJ are a closer in height than Parker and Ruiz. I disagree, this is one of the better heavyweight fights in a long time, 2 undefeated fighters that are young and hungry for the title. This is a great fight!
Just seen the face off at the presser. Ruiz's eyeline is looking directly at Parkers lips. Parker is at least 2-3 inches taller.
Judge height etc for yourselves http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-...-faceoff-ahead-of-wbo-heavyweight-title-fight
Many of us now feel Joseph is more like 6'5" They don't trumpet this fact. Is it because they want to surprise the Joshuas and so-on?
I wholly agree. They both have solid resumes, having beaten several gatekeepers and/or touted prospect and deserve title shots. Lucky for us fightfans, two well deserving, active, prime or coming into prime are WILLING to take an L if it means taking the opportunity to be called HWCoTW.
Weights: Parker 112kg, Ruiz 116kg. Parker is at a career highest weight but looks BUILT and says he is hitting harder and feeling better than ever... Ruiz is at his heaviest in 2 years. So much for the topic title!
Not sure where he lost it, to be honest. His feet must have had feet like the elephant man because he still looks like Dustin Nichols.
We were all fooled, thought Andy was going to come in good shape but we should have known better, all he did was grow a goatee to make his face look thinner and took photos from angles you'd expect whales on tinder to use to make themselves look thin.
It's ridiculous that a guy who's only job is to train and eat right can't get in shape. I don't even understand how he can be fat, he must be gorging so far above his maintenance calories. He could probably make light heavy, he's carrying that much fat.
Not sure why anyone is surprised by his weight. In all the clips of him in training he looked the same as he ever did. A lot of these heavy boxers looks decent with a short on because its not like they're carrying a beer gut. In person Ruiz looks like a powerful guy and carrying some weight.
