would be interested to see this fight. I thought Ruiz jr beat Parker and looked better than takam did.
Would be a good indicator of how good parkers and Joshua's performances were against each respective fighter.
Andy is keeping in shape so I've heard but must be having issues with top rank?

He doesn't have any issues with Top Rank, he is just losing weight, so he can return in top shape.

Good to hear. Andy is a breath of fresh air in the division. Nobody else has his style with that hand speed

This. Ruiz with his handspeed would outbox Takam. I don't see Takam beating any of the top 10 fighters.

Just because Ruiz did better against a common opponent doesn't mean he should be favoured here.

Takam is a proven commodity. Ruiz is not. Takam would likely gut out a win against the inconsistent and lazy Ruiz in a close and perhaps ugly fight. Worst case he does enough to force the judges to rule it a draw.

I don't think either man will knock the other out. Takam has underrated defensive ability and slips punches well but Ruiz has fast hands and often uses them to throw in volume so I think there will be a lot of exchanges where both men land. It will be a decision, and it will be close.

I'll go SD Takam, purely on the basis he's more experienced against the upper echelon of the division and if there are a lot of exchanges it will probably play into Takam's superior conditioning.

I went Ruiz by UD. Very close one tho, it would be a huge rumble. Ruiz really impressed me in that fight.

Parker really didn't do his best against Takam and to be fair still had work to do when he fought Ruiz but that was a decent fight and I would have accepted that as a draw tbh. Ruiz is no joke despite being far from body beautiful

Ruiz vs Takam would be a fight I would love to see back in 2016. Ruiz narrowly lost to Joseph Parker and Parker beat Takam more convincingly to people. I have Ruiz by decision or maybe late ko.

I think it would be a good fight. Takam's has proven he can give almost anyone a difficult night if you stand in front of him which Ruiz will no doubt do. Takam may even win the early rounds due to his work rate but that heavily muscled physique comes at a cost, he always fades.

Ruiz after some trouble begins to take over with his faster hands after Takam blows his load and wins a competitive decision.

Takam is an absolute pudding - even more so than Rice Pudding Jr.

I still can't get over how funny it was to see Joyce literally laugh him off like an 18 year old brother playing with his 4 year old brother.

Takam's past his prime now. At around the time they fought Parker it would have been a competitive fight.

Still, never underestimate Ruiz's ability to make things hard for himself against past prime opponents.
